When a home has suffered a big fire there will be a lot of damage on the outside as well as the inside. Firemen usually break down doors and windows in order to vent the house of smoke making it easier to fight the fire.

When the fire is out the broken doors and windows are openings for potential looters. SERVPRO of Northwest Phoenix/Anthem has a board up service for home fire victims to secure their home until it is released from investigations.

Not all board up services are the same. Note the second picture showing that the boards are anchored into the wood on the inside and not drilled into the stucco or siding causing more damage.
