Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

How does water damage affect my floors?

Water damage can affect flooring in your Phoenix home in several different ways. Wood floors, tile floors, laminate floors, and linoleum floors all react differently to water damage.

  • Wood Floors - Wood floors can soak up a lot of water and in order to keep floors free from permanent damage, needs to be mitigated quickly.
  • Tile Flooring - Due to tile being non-porous, it is very easy to clean.
  • Laminate Floors - Laminate floors, unfortunately, are harder to save as they peel very easily and tend to need to be replaced more often than not.
  • Linoleum Floor - As long as the water does not get underneath the linoleum it can be saved. If water penetrates the edges of the floor it will sadly have to be replaced.
